How To Make the Biscuit or Pancake Mix

What You'll NeedCamp biscuits

9 cups sifted Flour

4 teaspoons Salt

1/3 cup Baking powder

1 3/4 cups Vegetable Shortening

1 cup powdered milk

Step 1

Chill shortening.

Step 2

Sift all dry ingredients.

Step 3

Cut shortening into flour until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

Step 4

Store, well covered, in a cool, dry place.

 

  • Use for pancakes, biscuits, shortcake, cobblers or anything that you would make from a packaged biscuit mix.
  • All you need is water.
  • For pancakes add 1 tablespoon each of sugar and powdered eggs to each cup of mix.
